Job Description
We are looking for a Java Developer to assist with the setup, configuration, and ongoing support of cloud-based platforms. The successful candidate will work within a Linux environment and contribute to building and maintaining applications and infrastructure on AWS.
Experience
• 2–5 years’ experience in software development.
• Strong experience with Java development.
• Exposure to AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS or similar).
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Understanding of cloud-based deployments and platform configuration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies (advantageous).
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks.
• Exposure to DevOps practices or infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience supporting or maintaining cloud-hosted platforms.
Qualification
• Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect (Associate) would be advantageous.
• Linux or cloud-related certifications would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
