Job Description
We are looking for an DevOps Engineer to assist with the setup, configuration, and ongoing support of cloud-based platforms. The successful candidate will work within a Linux environment and contribute to building and maintaining applications and infrastructure on AWS.
Experience
•2–5 years’ experience in software development.
•Strong experience with Java development.
•Exposure to AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS or similar).
•Experience working in a Linux environment.
•Understanding of cloud-based deployments and platform configuration.
•Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies.
Preferred Skills
•Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks.
•Exposure to DevOps practices or infrastructure-as-code tools.
•Experience supporting or maintaining cloud-hosted platforms.
Qualification
•Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
•Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
•AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect (Associate) (advantageous).
•Linux certifications (advantageous).
